Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK)

UPK is a New York State funded program specifically designed for 4-year-olds not eligible for kindergarten. Each year Webster Central School District invites eligible children who reside in the district to apply.

Lottery applications for the 2014-15 school year are available by clicking here or the link below. The lottery has already taken place but families are welcome to fill out the application and submit it to the waiting list.

This program follows the Common Core State Standards for Preschool. You can read about these standards on the New York State Education web site www.nysed.gov.

All of the UPK teachers are New York State certified and are co-observed and evaluated by the agency directors and Webster School District UPK coordinator. There are several workshops for the UPK teachers throughout the school year.

The UPK program follows the Webster Central School District's school calendar. When Webster students have off, UPK students do not have school.
